About

Tim Shetz has been involved in design for over 20 years. After studying interior architecture and design in school, Tim worked for one of the most prestigious design showrooms in San Francisco.

After a time spent around high end furniture and design Tim moved on to work for several small graphic design firms in the Bay Area before landing at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Tim started in the San Francisco office with one other designer and built a team of 7 over the next couple of years. After a few years Tim transferred to Andersen’s Center for Strategic Technology in Palo Alto where he managed a team that ranged from 4 to 14 people. It was here he worked with clients such as Sony, Applied Materials, Alcoa, and many others.

Currently Tim teaches at California College of the Arts (formerly CCAC) in San Francisco, as well as Expression College in Emeryville, mentors students for Vancouver Film School’s final project and is a contract instructor at the Bay Area Video Coalition also in San Francisco.  Tim’s specialties are art/creative direction and working in After Effects and Cinema 4D. He is an Adobe Certified Expert in After Effects. In his spare time he works on client projects, runs C4DTraining.com, a Cinema 4D tutorial site, creates things with wood, photographs things that interest him and helps raise his young son.
